Dr John Sandra MB BS FRACGP Dip RACGP DROG - Partner

General Practitioner in Bathurst for 36 years. He is on the Board of Directors of the Central West Medical Association. Interests include Paediatrics, Medical Education, Preventative Medicine and Occupational Health. In 1983 became a Fellow of the Australian College of General Practitioners. He is married to Dr Bernadette Droulers.

Dr Colin Jamieson MB BS FRACGP DRCOG - Partner

Has been in practice in Bathurst since 1983 having previously trained and practiced at St George Hospital (Sydney), Colchester (England) and Mudgee NSW. He is married to Kim, one of the practice’s RNs, and has three children. In 1987 became a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. He is interested in all aspects of family practice.

Dr Hal has been at RSMC since 1997.  He practiced in West Wyalong for 15 years after some time in New Guinea.  In 1983 he became a Fellow of the Royal Austalian College of General Practitioners.  He has Surgical, Obstetric and Paediatric skills to add to general practice interest in sports, allergies and local anaesthetic surgical procedures including vasectomy.  He has the Diploma of Obsterics, and is a Fellow of The College of Rural & Remote Medicine.  He passed his diploma examination for the Australian College of Skin Cancer Medicine in 1997 and the Master class in 2013.

Graduated from University of NSW in 1977. She is married to Dr John Sandra and has a grown up family. She has worked in General Practice since 1979. In 1998 Bernadette became a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. Her special interests are Mental Health and Women's Health.

Dr Jane Lawrence MB BS - Associate General Practitioner

Graduated from University of NSW in 1983, Jane spent time in England working in Geriatrics and Psychiatry as well as General Medicine. She commenced in General Practice in 1990. She is interested in all aspects of family medicine especially Women’s Health, Paediatrics, Geriatrics and Preventative Medicine. Jane is married to Dr Bruce McGarity, one of our local Consultant Physicians, and they have four daughters.

An experienced GP with additional qualifications in Paediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Other areas of interest are Age Care and Chronic Disease Management.  Dr Stewart is also involved in GP Registrar training. She lives in Bathurst with her husband and two children.

Dr Goka Avinash (Avi) MB BS - Associate General Practitioner

Dr Avi graduated from the University of Health Sciences, India, and worked in the Indian health system for four years. He worked in the United Kingdom NHS Hospital for five years with training in general medicine and gained his full registration with the General Medical Council, London UK in 2000. He worked in Emergency Medicine in Sydney West Area Health and Orange Base Hospital. He also worked in child and adolescent mental health in Orange Base Hospital. Dr Avi’s areas of general interests are elderly care medicine, hypertension, heart disease, asthma & emphysema & also paediatrics. He is married to Genevieve and has a baby daughter. He has lived in Bathurst for the past four years.

Dr Lei Cao was previously trained towards a general physician in Beijing, China for 6 years after graduation from medical school. He achieved PhD in medicine in 2014 at Macquarie University and then worked at Hornsby Hospital for 3 years in Sydney, where he enhanced his clinical skills in emergency medicine, women’s health and paediatrics.  He has an interest in cardiovascular health, chronic disease management, and aged care. Dr Cao likes to offer his patients support, both physically and emotionally. He has lived in Australia for 10 years and now lives in Bathurst with his wife and baby son.

Dr Saima Majeed has a background in medical research before embarking on a career in medicine. She completed her medical education in Wollongong then trained in hospitals across the northern beaches of Sydney before settling in Bathurst for GP training. She has completed a certificate in surgical skills with RACGP and her areas of interest are rural medicine, emergency medicine, minor procedures and women's health. Outside the office she is fond of baking, gardening and creative arts.
